Sorry for so many posts today :)

My insurance covers a private room, which I know sometimes isn't possible to get but I was wondering who I communicate this information to and when?

I was asked for my insurance info at my pre-op appointment, and again when I checked in on the morning of my surgery.

Hope that helps :)

If you have to do a pre-admin then that's where you say it.  Otherwise, at your Pre-Op appointment.

Just a note, I have coverage for a private room, up to a certain $ amount.  The rest I have to pay out of pocket.  But if I go for a semi-private, then it's fully covered.

I just got discharged from the hospital. I had full coverage for a private room, but unfortunately none were available,so I bunked with 3 other people in the room at the hospital. But yes, let them know at your pre admission appointment.
