Dr. ROTSTEIN St Mikes.... recent patients

Hi everyone. I am pleased to say I was just called with an appointment for next week to meet my surgeon, Dr. Rotstein from St. Mike's in Toronto. 

I was wondering if anyone had recently had surgery with him and how long after their consult was surgery booked and also what was he like?

I have my surgery with him on Monday, so I'll let you know!

What I can tell you is that he is extremely experienced - he is the chief of surgery at St. Mikes, teaches surgery at U of Toronto, and is considered an expert in the field. 

I had a gastric sleeve with Dr.Rotstein last August (2014). He was amazing!! I had no problems at all. Healed great. He has great bedside manner and was very patient. My first meeting with him was in June And I was given a surgery date of sept 28 (I think) but I called his office and asked to be put on a cancellation list and they moved me up to Aug 11. His office staff are very nice as well. 

Sassy75... Thank you for your reply. I haven't been on here I ages so I apologize for my late response. I too got in on a cancellation. I am scheduled for aug. 17. Nine more days in opti and I will be on the bench. :)
