Craving Change Program

I read in a post a few days ago about this program, Craving Change.  Does anyone know where they offer this course in the Barrie area?

Has anyone taken this course and if so, how effective was it?

i have took the craving change workshops about 8 months ago and im still pre op but it was very helpful for me.  I am in northern ontario though and not to sure where you can go to find out.  It was offered threw my local doctors office so maybe check with the dietican there or the hospital and find out where they offer them. 

It is offered through the Family Health Teams. Talk to you family dr. And they will refer you.

I am a nurse in family doctor office, also have dietician friend who teaches program,   I have not taken it but have heard very good things from people who have. My appt, is at 1

I'm not from Barrie but can I suggest you try calling your local YMCA that is where my Craving Change program was run from. I really enjoyed it :-)

St Joe's in Hamilton offered it a few weeks ago... AND IN  MY OPINION i guess me being 3  1/2 years out didn't "get anything" from it - not that i know everything! it was run by a dietitian (i'm assuming as she never did introduce herself but most of the group knew her) who i believe was involved with the diabetes department as they kept referring to diabetics (but you didn't have to be one to attend)  got a nice booklet out of it which cost me $10 which was an ok fee to pay! they just reviewed foods we eat and why we eat them, etc. i didn't finish the 3 night course so not sure of the outcome! good luck!

I really want to take this program! Have you heard anything about it in Barrie, I am in Orillia and haven't heard anything about anyone offering it.
