Good morning everyone.  Supposed to be nice and sunny so going to try to get my garden in order, its turning into a bit of a jungle with all the rain we have been having lately.  Looks like the rhubarb is almost ready to be picked, going to make sf stewed rhubarb, a favourite.  This morning going to the farmers market to hopefully get some spring garlic and turkey pepperettes, we shall see what else they have.  One lady makes this garlic scape pesto, omg, it is to die for.  Lots of cleaning to do, I am behind on that so I am going to try to break it up and do the most troubling areas first.  This afternoon I am going to a birthday party, I will have a tiny piece of cake with a decaf coffee, my meal will be protein and lc veggies of some kind.  Have a great day everyone!

s - decaf coffee, later....back and side bacon with veggies at the farmers market

Hi Zizzler, do you have a recipe you use for the stewed rhubarb? We moved into a house in the winter and I noticed that we have some growing. I've never cooked any before, and I just mentioned to my aunt this week that I should try making some sf rhubarb with it. Any advice would be great!! :)

Cut up rhubarb and 1/8 c of water and simmer gently until it is sof****ch so it does not burn.  You could also throw it into a crockpot until soft.  This makes a sort of rhubarb sauce similar to applesauce.  I just add some sucralose to taste at the end (I use ez-sweetz brand).  Delicious in greek yogurt, or you can add a little bit of chopped almonds and heat, sort of like a cobbler.  I usually make a huge batch and freeze some of it.  I am hoping to try strawberry rhubarb once the berries are in season, great combo.  If you do try it let us know how it works out.

Thank you Pat, the Pan Am games sound great, exciting!  Sometimes if I have few options I just eat the inside of the sub or the toppings off the pizza.  I will eat a few bites of the bread if I am still hungry after that.  Subway will make any sub into a salad, just let them know.  I have had the meatball sub on a salad and it was actually really good.

Good morning everyone.  This will be my last post until Monday, DH and I will be in Toronto  tonight and tomorrow.  Zizzler enjoy your party, Pat have fun at the volunteer training, and Tanya hope you get a better bee-less sleep tonight and that Jasper enjoys his spa day.

Today I am not sure of the eats as we will be eating at restaurants, but I will try to make wise choices.

Today will be lots of walking, swimming at the hotel pool, and maybe some dancing at the place we are going to tonight.  I danced last night for the first time in years,  had to take breaks, but that was just to protect my back.  Sooooo much fun.  Tomorrow a trip to the AGO while DH catches up with former colleagues at the pub.

Have a great weekend everyone.  Tanya those are some serious steps.

Morning all. Seems like most of us have household drudgery to deal with this weekend although zizz, i think you have us beat. Didn't have a good sleep either Tanya. I was just restless and those hip bones wouldn't let me get comfy. I will definitely get good rest tonight, hopefully. I hope everyone has a safe weekend and be safe on the road for those travelling.

Anyone ever try fibre one? I've noticed my fibre intake is very low and need to up it a bit. Just the original buds or any of the fibre one products are good?
