Interesting - I haven't heard of thermacells before. I find myself getting chased off the front porch at dusk by the little tyrants, so I'll have to look into getting one of those.

Morning all :)

CC, really sorry to hear about your back, that sucks. Your lunch sounds deli****anya, Happy Friday! Barb, if you're not tired now, you'll be exhausted by dinner lol

Off to work for the day and I'm sincerely hoping that it isn't as draining as yesterday - got home last night completely exhausted with a headache, gut ache, and any other little irritating thing. lol Not sure what else I'll do but likely a pedicure on my way home, my feet will thank me.

Hi CC, sorry to hear about your back - that sucks. :( I found I had all sorts of lovely little "shrinking pains" during the loss stage, especially sitting and feeling my tail bone stabbing through the chair. I've found most of them have gone away now, which I'm thankful for.

Barb and Tracey, I was just looking at the weather in Sudbury today because a friend is there, and they've got a high of 23C while here in Toronto we have a high of 17C today. WhatEVER. Heh. Maybe it's time for me to take off...to the great white north. (Great WARM north?)

This tracking food thing is really paying off. Yesterday I stayed later than I expected at work, because I was working on an application for another temporary upgraded job (and I do that on my own time after my shift is over). And of course, I didn't pack enough food so I was ravenous by the time I got home. I resisted the urge to order out for food, but unfortunately, I was nibbling the whole time I was cooking our chicken dinner, and nibbling on not great stuff too. Then when I sat down to dinner, I was mostly full. Sigh. So...I said to myself, okay, I'm just going to eat as much of the chicken as I comfortably can and that's it - the rest of the stuff I was eating while cooking is going to be my "side dish". I didn't let myself just go nuts because I "wrecked it all". But I thought I'd be paying this morning on the scale.

Well, lucky me - I lost 0.3 lbs. That's what happens, I guess, when you stay on track all day, have a minor screw up in the evening, but then steer yourself back instead of going down the binging road. Very happy about that, and looking forward to staying on track today.

2.5 YEARS POST-RNY

B - 1/2 cup ricotta/vanilla/stevia mix, with 1/2 cup blueberries

S - 2 devilled eggs (2 halves of one egg), then a little later, 1 vanilla protein shake

L - Leftovers from dinner - oven roasted chicken breast (about 3-4 oz), plus about 1/3 cup roasted root veggies

S1 - Wasabi peas for the inevitable crunchy snack afternoon craving

S2 - 1/2 Quest cookies and cream bar for the inevitable sweet snack afternoon craving

D - 6 (or more) asparagus spears, wrapped in 6 slices of prociutto (Barb, this is great - thanks for the recommendation! I still like black forest ham too - it's a little less salty than prociutto. But I love the taste of salt, so the saltiness doesn't bother me!) There may be more asparagus than that since sometimes you can just use half a slice of prociutto and still get a nice wrap. But the asparagus is quite low calorie/carb, so I don't mind adding more of it for bulk.

S - A homemade skim milk decaf cappucino

TOTALS: 110g protein, 44g fat, 87g carbs, 27g fiber, 1247 calories

Have a great day, everyone!

Good morning all. Sorry about your back CC. Hope it gets better soon. Happy Friday Tanya and enjoy your golf trip Barb, welcome back Tracy. It looks like it's going to be a lovely day out today. Although i have nothing planned, i shall enjoy it. I managed to play around with my schedule yesterday and had a snack after dinner between my usual night snack and it seems to have done the trick, for now anyways.

Anyone notice that they are more hairy now than before? My arms and my legs, my gosh, are so hairy. It seems these days i'm constantly shaving only for it to look unshaved at weeks end. Must be all the vits i take. At least my hair has stopped falling out and growing back in.

Good morning everyone.  Cc sorry to hear about your back, I find sleeping with a pillow between my knees really helps.  I finally made those asparagus spears wrapped in Black Forest ham. Hi all,

I'm still around, just very busy. Life is still crazy at home. Eats are on and off, but I am Mindfully eating again and meditating again. Was up in Muskoka on the weekend doing a triathlon training camp. It was wonderful meeting so many new people (there were 45 of us!), and got to do the actual IronMan course. Crazy schedule and i'm still a little sore, but that's training :-)

Was really hungry early today, so I had leftover spicy sausage and chickpea soup. Will have yogurt in a *****icken for lunch and i'm not really sure what's for dinner yet. I rush home, grab my stuff and head back out to meet the tri group for a workout. Tricky getting the food in these days without going crazy at night.

Hope you are all well!!

Kelly
