Good morning :)

Barb, you take friends to appointments quite a lot! You're a good friend and support. xo

Looks like another nice day out there! Off to work for the day, no other plans at the moment other than home for the weeeeeeekend - Happy Friday!

9 years post-op

- coffee with cream x 3 over the day, Nestea Zero thrown in there (I'm really not enjoying these, I can taste the artificial sweetener and not much else, will add a squirt of lemon juice) -

 - Premier protein shake (vanilla)

S - Source Greek (cherry - delish), a few cherries and a couple of grapes (first cherries of the season, very disappointing)

L - leftover beef stir fry

S - muffin-tin crustless quiche OR another Greek yogurt, I'm finding myself getting a "sweet" craving in the afternoon some days, unusual for me

D - 3 oz BBQ chicken breast, lemon-basil green beans & mushrooms

S - not sure yet but for some reason I'm craving a ham/cheese/pickle roll-up dipped in deli mustard, which is silly since I've had a couple for the last couple of days lol

Have a fabulous Friday,

K. :)

P.S. With respect to the Love Beets I often see on your menu - is that the one I see at Costco?

Yeah, the earlier berries and fruit are often not the best. Sometimes I find they pick them when they're not quite ripe because they're in such a hurry to get the season started. I found that with the strawberries last year. I'm dying for strawberry season to start!

I haven't seen them at Costco...they are in a small plastic container in the produce section at Longo's....I only like the sweetfire marinade ones....I can eat the whole container if I don****ch it - in one sitting....they take away any craving for a sweet...and are filling....lots of carbs though so I only purchase once per week

Julz, what do you think of the Source Greek apple pie? I find it quite tasty but my taste buds are always a little surprised to taste apple and cinnamon in yogurt.

I actually really am enjoying it and I am not a big yogurt person so I am pleasantly surprised.  It is a good quick easy go to for me.  The idea to try it came from you people's lovely menus...i read these faithfully and add to my shopping list as to what to try next, lol.

I get a lot of great ideas from other people's menus too. We have some very creative, excellent cooks on this daily thread!

Morning Barb and everyone! Second tracking day in a row...heh. It's the little things, right?

Yesterday went not too badly, except that I got hungry about an hour before leaving work, so today I'm packing a bit more for during the day. I ate some tofu as a snack in the afternoon when I felt ravenous (and it was real hunger), so I'm hoping that my adjustment today will work. It's been so long since I've actually tracked what I eat that I have no idea how many calories will actually keep me. As it turns out, around 1200-1300. That works for me.

Since I really enjoyed everything I ate yesterday, I'm just gonna do it again today. Boring, I know. I'll change it up a bit on the weekend after doing a bit of grocery shopping.

2.5 YEARS POST-RNY

B - 1 slice of P28 toast topped with 1 egg fried in 1 tsp olive oil

S - 1/2 cup light ricotta flavoured with vanilla and stevia, topped with 1/2 cup frozen wild blueberries (can't wait for strawberry season to begin!)

L - 10 medium cooked shrimp dipped in a bit of seafood sauce, 1 egg, devilled (so 2 halves) with a tsp or two of mayo, and 1/4 cup of wasabi peas.

S - 1/2 cookies and cream Quest bar, and 85g of curry tofu (this might be split into two snacks during the afternoon)

D - More asparagus wrapped in ham - we have tons of fresh asparagus and I just love it this way - never get sick of it. And since it's Friday night, 1 glass of red wine

S - Premier Protein vanilla shake

TOTALS: Protein 114g, Fat 38g, Carbs 91g, Fiber 21g, Calories 1191

Enjoy your TGIF, all!
