you are right on target at 2 - 3 years out for this to become so much harder. Glad you returned - planning everyday and keeping to that plan most days keeps me on track. As you know I had a large regain between years 2-3 ( and many others have this in the same time frame) and I didn't get on it as fast as I should.
It can be done and the earlier you tackle it the better....first just try to stabilize - then slowly remove some calories until you begin to lose again
I have gone low cal - likely wont be able to sustain this much longer as I am always 'empty'....will add another 2-300 calories a day soon to lose slower.
Good luck!
Thanks for the great advice, Barb. And yeah, right on schedule, huh? :)
I have basically stabilized weight-wise at 20 lbs over my lowest weight since surgery, for the past few months. So I'm ready to try and lose a bit of it again. But my eating, despite stabilizing, is not great. Well, it's not bad compared to a lot of my friends, but it's not great for me, and I know it. Ignoring the rules, eating more bread and such than I should, semi-controlled bites and nibbles of junk food, that kind of thing. Hard to describe it, because I'm not going on out of control binges all the time or anything - I'm just letting bad eating habits creep back and I have paid on the scale.
I probably haven't gotten on my regain fast enough, but I tell myself when I feel bad about it that I'm still 140 lbs down, it isn't like I've destroyed everything, and it's not too late to get back on track. :)
Thanks for your encouragement, it's very helpful.

Good morning everyone. Swimming was great yesterday. The pool was really empty. Did my last lengths in an empty lane. No exercise today. I have a ophthalmologist appt this morning then off to work. Onward your menu looks great! I especially like the asparagus wrapped in bf ham, what an awesome idea. How long do you bbq it for? Karen tsatziki is the best! Nothing special going on today, work and then singing practice tonight. my gym routine is slipping lately, I am now only going twice a week rather than 6 days a week, I need to get more exercise into my days.

Basically what I do is I use very thinly sliced black forest ham, wrap it thinly around the stalk, and then I line them up on a baking sheet and grill them in the oven. I've been experimenting with temperatures and times, but at this point I'm finding that 475F for 10-15 minutes, then flipping them over and another 10 minutes or so on the other side makes the crown ends of the asparagus nice and crispy (I also brush a tiny bit of olive oil on the crowns on the asparagus) and the ham wrap nice and brown and a bit crunchy on the ends too. It's so delicious!
When I posted it on FB, a friend told me that she tried it on the BBQ and it was delicious that way too. I haven't done that yet, but I might! I just find it works easily in the oven, so I do that.

It will be! I'm looking forward to going home and cooking it.
Also, as it turns out, I didn't plan enough food for during the day today. I stuck completely to my planned food today (hard to believe, but I did it). And an hour ago, I was RAVENOUS (and I mean actual physical hunger). Luckily, I happened to have a bag of Ying Ying Soyfood in the fridge at work and I was able to have some curried tofu, which is a good protein snack for me. So tomorrow I'll know that I actually need to pack a bit more food during the day in order to keep myself from gnawing off an arm (or going to the dreaded snack machine, god I hate that thing).
Now as I'm leaving work, I can not be absolutely starving when I get in the door, and I will have the energy and patience to make our dinner instead of just grabbing something.
Thanks again for the support today. :)
