RNY 6 Years 1 Month Post Op
Morning
Eating in a restaurant for both breakfast and dinner - plus ****tail party from 4 - 6....this is terrible for good eating. Will do my best today but I just know the salt alone will put me up a few hard won pounds. Not looking forward to the drive into Toronto this afternoon....ughh....yeah I know - nothing but *****ing from me today

Good morning :)
Barb, you've had a lot of social stuff going on lately - must be nice to be so popular! ;) Salt can definitely cause fluid retention, luckily any small increase in weight is temporary - unless someone continues with a high salt diet of course. Catch-22 for me due to the meds I take to keep my liver (and subsequently my kidneys) functioning, finding the right balance (amount of salt) takes some practice. Don't blame you for dreading the drive into TO!
Attending an event hosted by our Accessibility Advisory this morning and really looking forward to it as the focus is on community-based para sport, NOT looking forward to the drive up to the Hershey Sportzone - I swear I'd almost rather drive into TO than drive from the Lakeshore to north Mississauga in the morning. lol Meeting after that, will pick up lunch on my way back to the office, might make a Costco run after work, we'll see how my energy is at the end of the day. And my patience level. ;)

- coffee with cream x 4 over the day -
B - Premier protein shake
S - muffin-tin crustless quiche (easy to grab and go)
L - not sure, whatever strikes my fancy on the way back to the office
S - leftover lunch
D - leftover dinner from last night
Hmm. This is a real "up in the air" day which can be tricky since I thrive on my food-eating-routine, will have to be mindful.
Have a good one,
K. :)

I think the drive home is the worst of it....though hopefully if I time things right most of the commuters are gone.
Now in my case - the Hershey center would be a breeze!
Yeah I know re the salt....and I could have a glass of water at the party...and I have chosen the least caloric item on the menu for the restaurant this evening....basically I just want to stay home....its so much easier to control and prepare the proper eats. I am really doing well losing my regain - and the regain of the regain..lol....and don't want to see the scale go up even if I know its jus****er....ughhh....I need to update my ticker....
Enjoy your event today
Eating out on a regular basis is a challenge for sure. I love eating out but you're right, it is so much easier at home where I control the ingredients and portions. Ah well, the life of a socialite! lol
Hope you miss the traffic, I'm about to head out right into it.

Hello and good morning fellow eaters...hope all is well with you all and you have a wonderful day ahead! Being my car is in getting a repair done, I am stuck home again for the day...so I will be tackling the backyard gardens and opening the pool to keep busy today. Meeting with a realitor tonite to see about potentially selling the house, so excited about the thought of a fresh start in a new one. Nervous about the house next door hindering progress to sell being it just burned down two weeks ago and we suffered smoke damage that is totally being dealt with but we will also have a construction zone beside us till it is torn down and rebuilt, which can take months. Might not appeal to people to want to live beside that however we will see what happens and ride it out either way. Anyways, long post for me, lol...have a great day!

Morning all. Still kind of chilly out there but, looks like today is going to be warmer. I hear you on driving in Toronto Barb. The people jay walk and the cars jay drive. Very annoying driving in the city. Have only driven there on a need to basis since i've been in Canada 6 yrs ago.

Driving wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the constant construction and closures. Woke up sore today but decided to bike anyway. What a really bad idea. Just really did not have the energy. Have all day to rest up for the trip home. I am going to go to the local bike shop at lunch to see if they can make my handles higher. The way it is is killing my back.
