Happy Victoria Day!
I am 2 months out now of my RNY. I have lost 51 lbs. I don’t even remember weighing this little. Most of my clothes are huge and falling off me. Some clothes I can get away with cinching in the waist with a belt or jeans with a belt but it still falls down on me. It’s been a rollercoaster these past couple months trying to figure out what my stomach will accept and what it rejects and my brain trying to get use to this new lifestyle. My diet is still partially pureed and soft foods. For the most part I keep the pureed foods down but when I have more of the solid soft foods I do get the foamies and throw up. So I can’t have a solid piece of meat yet but I think my issues with chicken is finally resolving because last night I tried some curry chicken and at first I got the foamies a little but then after 30 mins it stopped and it settled. So now I guess reintroduce chicken back into my diet in very small amounts. Ground beef I only reintroduced back about a week ago. I still have my scope booed for June 25th. So we will see if I have a partial stricture or not. The best part of this experience is sometimes I’ll pass by a mirror and say I can’t believe that is me. I’m smaller and I look cute in this outfit. I am looking forward for the upcoming months and years to see how my life changes.
What a happy post! Congrats on your success thus far. Question, why are they waiting so long for a scope to check for/fix a stricture? Are they hoping that it's not/will work itself out?

That unfortunately is the earliiest scheduled appoinment I could get. I tried actually going through the ER system to get an emergency one done and It was a disaster. I was unable to get it done then. I really want to find out if I have a partial stricture or not. Because I can eat most some things from the soft diet section but I still throw up every other day. I manage to get all my water in but struggle with protien. (meat)
Yes, but did you contact your bariatric surgeon or your bariatric centre in general?
I think at this point, I would go on the assumption that I don't have a stricture and simply a bit of a rough start at introducing more solid foods. Keep taking it very slowly, get all your protein in through foods you can actually keep down, ensure you're getting plenty of fluids, and keep a close eye on the number of times you're vomiting and what you're vomiting on.
