Worried about silly things...

I know we are not supposed to focus on the numbers, but I am wondering what the typical weight loss is one month after RNY. Anyone willing to share? I had mine on April 15. I have followed the plan to a T., and today when I stepped on the scale I was up 3 pounds from 2 days before. I did start pureed... Would that effect it? Anyways, I just want to see if I fall into a normal range. Thanks.
To be honest, I would have to look it up to see what my weight loss was after one month but it wouldn't be fair to compare anyway since my surgery weight was significantly more than yours. There are many things that can impact the number on the scale...menstrual cycle, BMs etc. Don't worry about the number on the scale...if you're following the plan the weight will come off! Just try to relax and keep focused on the long term. Good luck!
There are a lot of little things that can cause weight to vary a little bit in either direction. How much water you're retaining, if you're wearing different clothes, the time of day you weigh yourself, if you've had a good trip to the bathroom lately. Don't worry too much about a couple of pounds.
I had my surgery 2 days before you had yours and even though I weigh myself every day for my own curiosity, I've seen myself weigh the same as the day before, 1 lb more than the day before, 3 lbs less than the day before. I don't put too much stock into it changing on a daily basis, as long as it averages out to losing over time.
Starting pureed wouldn't affect your weight loss, no. If you do a search on "3 week stall" or "one month stall" you will find literally hundreds of posts wondering why weight loss has stopped or even a tiny gain has occurred. It's completely normal. You're going to run into many stalls/pauses/etc. along the way and you're not going to lose every day, every week or even every month as you get further out. Just keep following your centre's food plan, the weight will come off. :)

Hi there, from the look of your ticker you seem to be losing very well. I know its hard not to focus on the numbers as that is our real true measurement of our success. It shouldn't be but it is. It has taken me six months to lose 65-70 lbs slower than most but I finally made wonderland last week. So my sage advice is K sa ra sa ra what ever will be will be and worrying won't change it. lol No really, just follow your plan and enjoy the ride. It will work.
it is so hard not to focus on the number. And everyone is different we all know this. And we also know it's not a good idea to weigh ourselves every day. But we still do. I was doing so good only stepping on the scale 1 / week. But then I started getting more curious. And I've seen 1lb up, 3 down, 2 up, 1 down, etc. etc. So my new goal is to only step on the scale 1/week.
And as pp said there are stalls along the way. I had one at 3 weeks out (as did hundreds of others). But the weight is coming off! I'm down almost 40 lbs. and my RNY was March 13, 2015!
