I am a little frustrated and need some thoughts?

I just wanted to let you know that a lot of centres in Ontario use the STOPBANG questionnaire (see the website at http://www.stopbang.ca/)  and a measurement of your neck circumference to assign a points value. Depending on where you fall on the range, you will require a sleep study. I did not need one but many obese people do. I know they use this method here in Ottawa, and from the answers I'm reading here, it seems that other centres use it too.

Regardless, if you do have apnea, now is the time to get it sorted out and it will all work out for the best by the time surgery comes around. They just want to make sure you're safe and good to go for surgery, and in the end, that's the BEST thing for all of us. Wishing you luck!
