Fitbit
I LOVE my fitbit flex. I've taken it swimming, biking, jogging, walking, and it does wonders for me. Great little motivator and without it, I had no idea I was only getting about 5 hours of sleep per night (on average). Helpful little bit of tech gear, that's for sure! And I highly recommend the Fitbit for the customer service too! I've heard of people having problems, and I did too, but with a copy of my receipt, the customer service line sent me a new tracker for free when mine went wonky (wouldn't charge). They're GREAT!

how deep of water do you go in with your flex? i do deep water aqua fit twice a week and always take my flex off. afraid i'll ruin it since im in the deep end doing exercise. Think its safe to use im not going deeper then my own height, and i wear a belt to keep me afloat
The Fitbit site says that it's good to a depth of 10 metres which is 32 feet underwater. I am only 5'5"... even assuming I swim as deep as 8 or 10 feet, I think this Flex would be just fine!
usually swim laps in a pool and the Flex is completely perfect for that. I would expect that aqua fit in the deep end of a pool would be fine too... assuming you're not going deeper than 32 feet down!

took a chance and i wore it in the pool tonight, i have been taking it off and putting it in my locker for months now. It was fine i kept tapping to make sure it was working
Mine is a Garmin Vivofit which I chose because I like to exercise in water.
Going without a fitness tracker would be like taking my laundry to the river and washing it there instead of using the washing machine. Nobody can take time to count 10,000 steps a day. These little gadgets can count calories, steps, set goals, track sleep, monitor heart rate, and for me take the place of a watch and calendar. They will really keep you motivated.
Do some looking around before you buy. There are things like the Apple Watch that I might buy if I were shopping now.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
I just have the little FitBit Zip. I absolutely love it!! I clip it to my bra every day; it really motivates me to get in 10000 steps per day and I love looking at the reports after going to the gym to see calories burned, high vs low energy, etc. I have mine linked to myfitnesspal, as well, so every night I can see my calorie deficit.

I love my fitbit flex...only bad thing I did was forgot it at home this past weekend when we went to Niagara Falls for the kids' dance competitions...never realizing just how much walking I would end up doing...darn it...it didn't count!! LOL
Moving on doesn't mean you forget about things. It just means you have to accept what happened and continue LIVING
