Hi

I had my surgery at Toronto Western Hospital with Dr.Allan Okranic were did you have yours? The hospital was amazing they called me today to see how I was I am going to wait and not take any more Premier protein shakes they said it causes alot of nausesa for people early on and i told them I was dealing with really bad nausea and bad pain on my left side. It really helps to talk to the professionals very supportive + we have the forum and everyone in it to guide us through I feel blessed are you able to get all your protein and water in? My taste buds have changed.

I am not getting my protein in yet....yesterday was day 3 post op and I got in 39 grams.  I am drinking the premier protein drinks and not having any issues at all and they obviously help getting in the protein, I don't know how else I would get it in at this point.  I am struggling a bit with eating sooooooo slow!  I had 1/2 cup of cream of mushroom soup and it took me 60 minutes....which is crazy and I had to microwave it 4 times to keep it warm!  LOL

So glad to hear your recovery is going well.  I can imagine how overwhelming it must be to make all these changes at once.  It sounds like you're doing it right though.

I really like the idea of a clipboard to keep track of everything.  I may steal this idea when I go for my surgery.

Ya I decided on the clipboard because I can easily carry it around with me at home and it is right there in my face.  I have the phone apps, etc but I needed old school pen and paper! LOL  Good luck doll, your time is gonna be here before you know it!!! Trust me HUGS

Glad you are recovering well. The first week all I could do was getting water In, my nurse told me that's all you have to worry about at first. I was sleeping so much the first week it wAs hard even to get that in. It will get easier, the first 2 weeks are such a struggle. Focus on healing first then getting the protien in Gets easier.
