Is Pepto-bismol okay?

Hi Folks!

Just wondering if any of you wonderful people know if we are allowed to take anti-diarrheal medication like Pepto, post-op?  I'd been at home for the past few days with a nasty intestinal thing, and would love to get some relief!  I have a message in with the Nurse Practitioner at the clinic, but god knows when she'll get back to me.  I'm not worried about dehydration yet (lots of fluids going in, peeing well ...), but not sure how long that'll last.

Any help is appreciated!

I'm pretty sure Pepto-bismol contains an NSAID, making it a no.

It is an anti-inflammatory but not an NSAID so not sure I would risk it.  Why not just use some Imodium.

I read that Pepto contains aspirin which would mean not good for WLS peeps.
