Troubles with meat

Ground meat is easier to digest than solid meat (i.e. chicken breast).  Grinding breaks the meat up to make it more tender and easier to deal with.  If you do want to have something, slow cook it in a sauce until it's tender.  If it's normally a tougher cut of meat, marinade it before cooking.  Let it coo****il it falls apart.

If the meat is dry, even ground, add a sauce.  Just account for the sauce in your daily totals.

It does get better, but some meats are harder to digest, such as pork.

It will get better with time. Just treat your pouch like a baby's stomach, gradually work your way up to more solid stuff.  There are some things that still do not sit well for me at 8 months out, like hardboiled or fried eggs, chicken breast. There are times where I have maybe 2 tablespoons of chicken and I am done and can't eat any more, for some reason it is just so freaking filling for me.  So just give it time, everyone is different.  At 8 weeks I was eating a lot of ground meat, especially chilli and those blue menu meatballs in tomato sauce.

Hello all!  Thank you for your replies.  I had really moist meat last night (a baked chicken wing in sauce) and I still managed the throw that up.  I am going to avoid meat for a while and will try again in a few weeks.  The funny thing is, chili (like a lot of you suggested) I have no problem with.  Yay for chili!

I had the exact same experience with meat and fish.  It didn't matter how much I chewed, how slow I ate, I threw up.

I would go without eating meat for a couple of days, when I did, I would puree it and just tried again after giving my pouch a little break.  I'm ok now with most meats, I still can't eat pork.
