A date

I had my tele-health appointment this morning and they gave me a date! I will be having surgery on May 22nd with Dr. Urbach at Toronto Western Hospital. Since I was approved in October and had the post-surgery class in January, I'm relieved that things are finally moving forward.

Does anyone know if there are hotels near TWH that offer a special hospital rate?

Sorry I do not know about the hotels. I just wanted to wish you luck. I had Dr Urbach and have had no post-op issues.

I had my surgery at TWH in December and they are fantastic, you're in great hands. Again, no post op issues whatsoever. 

Congrats Leslie!  I am also from London and have Dr Urbach.  I have my tele-health in 2 weeks.... Sorry can't offer any help on hotels.  I was just excited to read your post!  

Congrats on your surgery! In terms of hotels the eaton Chelsea formerly known as the delta Chelsea offers reasonable rates especially for people coming out of surgery or with medical problems etc. I get deals from expedia sent to me with 50% off. Contact me if you want and I can pass on the deal.

Hi Leslie, I too am from London and will be meeting my surgeon by video.  I was wondering how we buy our opti? Were you able to purchase it that day at telehealth?  How long was your appointment? Did they do any blood work?  Sorry for all the questioning... I am excited to get a date but confused about not getting to meet my Dr in person prior plus I haven't received any info on how this (telehealth) all works.... Just a call with date and time.   However, at the same time I am happy I don't have to drive to Toronto.
