Blood work done
So I went into Ottawa Wednesday and completed the blood work needed for my intake appointment. They are so efficient and kind at the Riverside campus. I generally find blood taking to be painful but they are sure experts there. I want to say thank you to all who posted opinions about fasting. I actually got there and forgot to ask! I did though. When I arrived my only question was did they need urine! I had a long drive and was hungry so I sipped water the whole way!! Anyways, back to looking to the future. One step at a time.
1st referral-June 2014, sent back and resubmitted September 2014. Wrong referral-medical not surgical. December 22-Surgical Referral sent in.
March 2, 2015-Orientation session; April 8, 2015-Blood work completed; May 12, 2015-Intake appointment; July 24, 2015 Dietician/Behaviourist; August 26, 2015 Pre-surgery class; September 21, 2015 Meet the surgeon; SURGERY NOVEMBER 13, 2015

I'm glad it all worked out. I find the Riverside so handy since it's right on my bus route on the way to work...and like you said, they are efficient...seldom late for work when I need to stop by there first.
