I'm 2 months out... thinking of going to the movies with the hubby. . I've avoided going anywhere with food so far.  But I'm wondering if a little popcorn is allowed

You would probably have problems digesting it. This is something to have in maintenance or close to it. Think of something you like to have as a snack and take it with you. Try to think of it and not being denied popcorn just choosing to put it off for now

If you really want popcorn, try 'skinny pop' its excellent, BUT wait til your farther out, I didn't try it til one year out, a couple of pounds from my goal.

I ate popcorn at about 2 months out. I love popcorn I just chewed well and ate slow. But I haven't had any issues with food.

I had my surgery Jan 27/15. I'm not inclined to go for sweets...my favourite things are salty snacks. I have always been a hardcore popcorn lover and I had my follow up at the clinic today so I asked the nutritionist and she said yes I could introduce popcorn into my diet again as long as I was sure to chew it thoroughly. To be honest I have already tried popcorn in limited amounts because I didn't think it was an issue... chewing thoroughly of course. I have had no problems and a great bonus is some much needed fiber to help things move along.

I went to the movies with my kids and at the theater we go to they have frozen yogurt so I picked  non-fat peach/mango frozen yogurt.
