It sounds fabulous, never mind good. I'm not a rice eater but damn those Arancini balls sound delish.

They are good - rice and sausage with marinara sauce....about the size of a large olive....I rarely eat any rice as it makes me uncomfortable and well,...its rice....but so little in these little balls.

I also don't get the sauce they like to slather on the shrimp and scallops ( spiedino de mare)...and they are so rich and filling - my DH loves to fini**** for me.

I was thinking the sauce sounds delicious actually lol  I'm not sure if you've ever been to Michael's Back Door here in Mississauga - best Italian I've had locally, let's do lunch. ;)

Good morning all,

Easter started out ok, but ended up not great. Lou he's around for a bit in the morning and did my long run. Leg felt pretty good at the slow pace, but I was feeling a bit "off". Did my stretching and foam rolling after, as I'm supposed to be. Helped Ross make the veggies for our Turkey dinner at his sister's house. Walked Rosie and off to King City we went.

Had a few Of those almost paper thin, gluten free crackers (Mary's maybe) and Asiago, and took Rosie for another walk. Had dinner. Chose wisely, got the "is that ALL you're going to eat?" One piece of Turkey, a bit of gravy and veggies. Ate my plate, taking breaks in between bites. Next thing I know I'm in huge pain. Stomach blew up to a crazy size. Spent the next two hours curled up trying to get rid of the gas. Horribly embarrassing. Took gasX, had real ginger tea (they drink it every morning....sounds like a good idea to me!). Got to the car and drove home with a pillow on my tummy. Pain got worse as I settled into bed. Ross got me two heating pads, one for my stomach and one for my back, which started to hurt. Pain slowly subsided hours later and I fell asleep. Woke up feeling fine and tummy is normal sized again.

Guess I'll be taking it easy with food today, but not sure what to eat. Suggestions? I was supposed to have leftover, but that scares me!!

I think I would see your Bariatric centre or surgeon re this Kelly.  Just doesn't sound right.  You really didn't eat much and I cant see anything that could cause the type of pain you are describing.  Maybe food isn't part of the equation - maybe its running and gastric juices or something?  Or maybe running causes your insides to spasm.  yeah I am totally guessing - but just not right
