I have lost half of my body weight :)

I had my surgery 14 months ago. I have now lost 50% of my body weight. I had a lot to lose and I'm feeling so much better. It truly is amazing what this surgery provides in a year! I still have things that I need to work on. I am still making some bad food choices and I know that I need to get on top of this. I am a work in progress...but thrilled with what has been accomplished so far.

Also, I don't put much thought into the BMI scale - however I am officially overweight now and not obese.

😄 Take care all.

Congrats! That's a great milestone to reach...good for you! I can only imagine how great you must be feeling...emotionally and physically. Keep up the hard work and wishing you the best with the challenges with the bad food choices. You can do it! Look what you've done already!

What fantastic success! You must feel phenomenal! Try not to beat yourself up over the 'bad' food choices but think about why they happen and see what you can do to derail those choices. I also think you can have a little room for a bit of a favourite thing once in a while...as long as it isn't a dangerous trigger and you can build it in to your plan.

All the best for your continued success! Kim

Thanks Kim! I am concerned about how it could develop into something more dangerous. I have a plan to address it but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'm getting there.

Good luck with your journey as well!

Congratulations. You have done so well.

Are you doing something special to celebrate your achievement?

That is something that I never really have done....celebrating the successes. I do need some new clothes though. 😉. Maybe I should do more though. At least about this one. Thanks for the suggestion.

Just the title of your post made me smile ear to ear.

Congrats, that is a wonderful accomplishment and no doubt hard earned.

Best of luck on your journey!

Thank you! It is a bit of a shock to think of it myself. Both in pictures and just in my mind.

Best of luck in your journey too!

Congratulations on becoming overweight, that is awesome, you must feel so much better.

My next goal is to get to overweight bmi, which is only 4 pounds away!  Once I get there I have achieved my goal of no longer being obese, so I am content no matter what, everything else is gravy.

Highest: 320, Surgery: 255 (Aug/14), Lowest: 132, Current: 167, Goal: 155
