I just can't stomach quest bars. They are so chewy and the flavour is awful. Are there any other protein bars out there (low in sugar and fat) that taste decent???

I love most Quest bars. I find if you put them on a plate and microwave them for 15 seconds they are much better tasting.

The quest bars are kind of sweet aren't they?  Like the above poster said, if you zap them for a bit they are better.  I also find if you have them with a cup of tea or coffee it is a nice change.

The bars that I have been using are the simply protein bars.  You can get them at Bulk Barn or you can buy them in a box at Costco.  There are 3 different flavors in that box.  Lots of fibre, sugars are about 4 and protein is 16.

I only use them in a pinch.  Its easy to keep one in your purse for those times when you can't have something like a yogurt, or cheese.  Jus****ch the carbs in them.

Thanks guys-

i don't often have bars but it would be nice to have them in my bag when I am on the go. I'll check out the bars at bulk barn- thanks for the suggestion!

Costco also has pure protein bars. Shoppers drug mart sells them individually if you want to try just one. I like the chocolate peanut butter one.
