What are you eating/doing today (Saturday)
Afternoon all :)
Gorgeous sunny day out there but you're right Tanya, it is cold! Kelly I'm with you, completely done with winter. I'd be more than happy to skip spring and go straight to the heat. I think I am living my winter life vicariously through Barb who has been spending the majority of time down south! And being grateful that I am not Tracey's neighbour to the north with weather that had her shovelling earlier this week. lol
Have been working on a basement clean out/rearranging lately in my "spare time" as Andrew and I clear space for his "stuff" since deciding that we're at the point where we're ready to share life together. So, it's down to the dungeon aka storage and laundry and litter box for Kirby to sort things out. lol Have some running around to do for work this week, but will do it tomorrow. Not sure what else!
Oh! As an aside, I have a beautiful laminate-hard-wood floor in my dining/living that is a deep colour and I'm having a terrible time with streaking (no, not the taking your clothes off and running about streaking) - what do others use? Is it worth getting some sort of steam clean "Shark" type thing or does that leave streaks as well?

We have a steamer and love it. No streaks from it at all. I bought Todd one as well and he loves his. We use distilled water only in ours and it cleans very well. We swept and mopped our floors then steamed them and were shocked at the amount of dirt the steamer picked up on floors that had just been cleaned. We have one for the cottage as well and the floors there are dark walnut and they don't streak either. There are a few models of the Shark and Bissell also makes one that is almost identical to the more expensive Shark. If you wait, they often come on sale for 1/2 price at Canadian Tire and Home Hardware. HH sells the Bissell one only I believe and CTC has the Sharks.
Thanks Tracey, great info. I'll check out CT and Walmart etc. online. Which one do you have and can I get away with a cheaper model or is it better to spend on it?

And this one at home.
Not sure how the cheaper ones work but this one was on for $40 Black Friday weekend at CTC and they flew off the shelves while we were there.

They all seem to come on sale a few times per year. We just kept checking the flyers online weekly until we got them 50 percent off. The two we have are equal as far as I am concerned.
Thank you!
I like CT's email alert thing - it lets you know when an item you want is about to go on sale. lol
