My favorite for the vanilla opti was to mix in some sugar free red raspberry torani syrup. I picked up a large bottle at one of the coffee places near my house. It hardly took any to cover the smell and give it a nice fruity taste. I do know some people have said they found the opti too sweet after adding the syrup, so I added extra water to the shake :)

Honestly, I was boring. I lived off decaf coffee mixed in it. It actually tasted pretty darn good, and I didn't like any of the sweet' recipes I had tried. I am not one for artificial flavourings.

I don't drink coffee but i didn't mind opti. I liked the vanilla and choc but I liked it best as 1/2 vanilla, 1/2 choc for the swirled taste. My mouth was so dry, drink lots of water and I chewed gum

I don't have any favorite recipes, I just used 12 oz of really cold water.  Check out the recipe forum, http://www.obesityhelp.com/group/ontario_recipes/discussion/

There's a thread in there called Surviving Optifast, which has a bunch of recipes in it.  I know that some SF Syrops are available in coffee shops, Winners, and places like that.  You can also use extracts in the baking aisle for flavorings as well.

My favourite for the vanilla was to blend it with 500 mL of water, 1 cup of ice and a crystal light strawberry-orange-banana flavoured packet.  It actually tasted good!

For chocolate, I made a decaf coffee, put ice in it and blended the coffee with the opti.  It tasted like a frozen mocha.

You will do great on opti!  I lost 17 pounds and I was on it for just under 3 weeks (19 days).

Decaf coffee helped reduce the sweetness. I really liked adding an extra teaspoon of sf baking cocoa powder with some coconut flavouring, you can find both at any grocery store.

Definitely decaf instant coffee with the vanilla or you can add the SF syrup raspberry flavour to it. Blend the crap out of it with LOTS of ice so it turns into the consistency of a milk shake.

Another one I liked was adding the Orange crystal light singles to the vanilla, it tastes just like a orange icecream bar, again they need to be ice cold.

I agree with the other poster that said drink lots of water through out the day, its key to losing the weight during this stage and flushing out the liver. It is so important to shrink the liver to give the surgeon all the help you can.

All the best starting Optifast...You will rock it :-)
