Hi there, its 1;30 am and I cant sleep thinking about my first appointment tomorrow. I have read through the literature written down past surgeries and medical conditions. Read up on the RNY and VSG procedures. Beat myself up for not following through with the process after meeting with a surgeon in 2012, but then realized I was no where near ready in 2012. My life is much more stable and my health has improved from then. I've been on my usual yo yo coaster with weight numbers. I feel so much more ready now. Hubby and I are in a better apartment with more stable employment and I have a support system that includes a neighbor 20 years my senior who just had her surgery last year. I also know another person that is just a few appointments ahead of me. So I have a good support system. I still have some anxiety and my DH has lots of anxiety, but even he is seeing what the positives could be. So I am very excited. I even know what I have to start doing next in preparation for dietician etc. Now if I could just fall asleep....I will let you know how the appointment goes.

I think you likely made a wise decision putting surgery off until now. Your head definitely has to be in the game to make this work. I'm sure your meet-and-greet with Dr. Starr will go very well!

Hi friends...the meet and greet went very well. I was very impressed with how quick and efficient appointment...blood work and future booking went.
My next appointments with RN SW and RD are scheduled for June 8 and my meeting with Dr Glazer is August 24. Looks like possible surgery this fall. Getting more real now and I am ready to make lifestyle changes. I am really glad that some of you are still here from 2012...now I need to work on giving up my diet coke and tracking food and drinks. thanks all....even though I changed my mind in 2012 I still read the posts here regularly...lol lol

Hey. saw you were added for January 16th 2016? Yikes. Did they say why it is so far away, or Dr. Starr is just that backed up?  Ive read that Dr. Laz Klein is booking 2 months in advanced. I'm finding this part a little overwhelming.

Surgeon: Dr Hagen. Start Opti Aug 18th. Surgery Sept 1st 2015
