Thanks! I did the Optifast program back in 2001 for several months... when you do it for that long, you get used to just having it "as is". I am not dreading this part at all... 3 weeks is nothing compared to months of it.
But then again... the "recipes" have probably evolved over the years, so this reference might be my life saver!

That's so exciting, isn't it?! That call from Lana is one of the best phone calls you'll ever get. Follow everything that you are told and keep a positive attitude...all will be good.
You'll be in such great hands at the Civic. Everyone there is amazing: the nurse in pre-op, the porter who wheels you down to OR who chats along the way to calm your nerves, the entire team in the OR, recovery room people (they're a little hazy in my memory) and the nurses in the trauma unit. My roommate at the Civic and I were discussing how lucky we were to have amazing people taking care of us.
I'm happy for you.

Congratulations on getting your surgery date. I went through the WMC also, a few years ago now however, the staff and after care is out of this world.
I'm not sure if you've been posting long on OH but the support is amazing, you are truly among friends. Dolce suggested the recipe section for opticrap. I agree with her, some of the ideas people have come up with are rather creative. The one I liked the best was adding SF raspberry syrup to the chocolate optifast, tastes just like a black forest cake. Other people loved adding the orange crystal light to vanilla, that one tasted like a creamsicle.
