Finally in the home stretch.  I gave away all of my food so I wouldn't be tempted and am left with boxes of Optifast, some decaf tea and coffee, mio flavouring, and some chicken broth.

I wish I had gotten more chocolate, since the vanilla tastes like pancake batter.  Trying to mask it however I can, but it's going to be a rough 3 weeks.

I mixed the vanilla and choc for the mixed flavor.......1/2 of each per shake. I didn't mind it at all. Good luck!! I chewed gum b/c I was terribly thirsty!

When I started Optifast I bought a bunch off Kijiji from a nice lady who changed her mind about doing the Optifast program so I got a smoking hot deal. The reason I brought this up was I had a mixture of both vanilla and chocolate, at the time Ottawa only gave you the choice of one flavour. (not sure if this has changed)

I found the best way to turn that "pancake batter" into something palatable is to put some instant decaf coffee into it, just plain coffee crystals and stir, blends up nice....tastes like mocha. You can hardly tell its Opti so this says a lot for the :-)    The coffee tones down the sweetness of the Optifast to. I found the vanilla really sweet, sickly so.

All the best with it

Congrats on the last step before surgery!

I agree with Ann that adding decaf instant coffee to vanilla works great. Also, mix it with 500ml of water and some ice cubes. Tastes so much better. I even added a couple pumps of Starbucks sugar-free hazelnut flavour...iced hazelnut latte anyone? So yummy!

UNH.... You already make me want to vomit. I start OPTIFAST this Monday 23. Honestly, if anything I am happy to get this started, it's been forever to get to this point.

We can take some plain fry's coco can we to add for chocolate flavour to the Vanilla? I will have to check to ensure there is no wheat solids in it, last thing I need is to ruin with lots of carbs.
