How long before you hit your goal weight?
Just wondering how long it took to reach your goal weight that was set by your surgeon and how much weight did you have to loose to get there?
I know everyone looses at a different pace and the amount of weight that needs to be dropped varies extensively between people, but I am curious to see how long each of us took to get to there goal weights?
I am not quite to my goal yet but getting close to my 199lb goal. I have lost 93lbs since I started this journey almost 5 months ago and have 23 lbs left to go to hit my goal weight.

13 months to my original goal weight. Then I changed it and not long after that. The last 10 pounds hung on me for months.
But that's me.....as we all know, everyone is different!
Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!
I don't have a goal weight and neither did my surgeon, I am 3.5 months out and I haven't stepped on a scale since my 1 month follow-up at the hospital. For me it had nothing to do with weight, more to do with my health, energy, mobility and overall how I felt. All of those things have improved drastically....and I might have dropped a few lbs in the process, I know none of my clothes fit anymore and I am no longer on BP meds!
just another point of view....I know weight goals are very motivating and important to many, I find I am more motivated in other ways.

You and I pretty much have the same stats, except I am looking to lose 32 more lbs to end at 140. I had surgery October 20th, the day before you, and we've almost lost about the same amount. I set a loose goal to be at 140 by August 20th, which will be 10 months post op. For a total lost of 122lbs. Good luck! And congrats thus far on your success.
