Trying to stay positive... and patient
Just having a whine. Finally got my next set of appointment dates for TWH - Psychologist & Dietition, and they're not till late April & June. June seems like forever. I called about any cancellations and it doesn't look good. I guess it's just frustrating seeing others who started the process at around the same time as I did, already with surgery dates. :/ Such a life changing decision to make to start with - it's hard to wait once the decision is made. *sigh*. I'll keep reading, researching & keeping my food journal. Patience Grasshopper. Patience.

The reason some people move faster is becasue they will call weekly or daily for cancellations that is how you move along faster in the process. Keep calling to get earlier appointments people cancel every day.

Yes - don't get discouraged. There are cancellations aplenty!!! Trust me :)
Call every week, early in the day. Being friendly and perseverant got me through the process.
Good luck!

I totally understand your position. I am in the final stages of the process and to be honest I never thought I would get here. I have used my time to educate myself about the process. I have visited this forum many times. I have done some soul searching to make sure that this is right for me. I do believe this is the path I want to travel. I have taken the time to eliminate pop, sugar and caffeine out of my diet.
I have tried different protein drinks to find one I like. I now I feel I am ready for the next phase - surgery. Use this time to figure out if this is right for you. I am not a patient person....this process has made me wait and I am actually thankful for the time and appointments with all of the team members. The process has changes my way of thinking
Good luck
Thank you :) I have actually called and got in on several cancellations, which has been great. I'm down to TWH on Monday for the Nutrition Group meeting, so I'll check again in person (if it's possible). I'm trying to accommodate my work a bit too. Hoping to be off during our "slow" time.
Protein shakes - Please share which kind you're liking! Recommendations are appreciated.
I appreciate the feedback & support. Cheers :)
