What are you doing/eating today? (Monday)

Sugary carbs are the devil! They pack the weight on easily. And being active doesn't make up for it either. I have learned that even though i'm a runner, I cannot eat like one. I don't get to go out for pizza with my Running Room buddies after running 32k. You would think it would be ok, but nope, I gain if I do. (not that I find eating pizza easy...that hurts...but an example).

And my big steps was one day only. I average over 100k steps a week, depending on my training.

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!

Still reeling a bit from the weekend. Met Barb during a 32k run out in Hamilton, and that was lovely. Then went to a 70th birthday party in the basement of the church I belong to (and really I go twice a year....more if i'm rehearsing for a musical...but I haven't been in a show since 2011). Anyhow, my kid's ipads were stolen during the party. Can you believe that? :-(

Yesterday Ross and I decided to re-arrange the house. It started with changing two rooms and it snowballed from there. We worked for 8 hours straight. Things look great, but still a bit of a disaster!

I clocked 43,450 steps on Saturday!! And not even 6 yesterday LOL.

My eats were off both days, using up indulgence points for this last week of the Whole Life challenge i'm doing. I get crazy hungry the next day after a long run, and although I was eating good food...it was all day long. :-)

B: half a larabar and chickpeas (seriously just stuff from my desk drawer because I was too tired to plan)

L: chicken breast

S: nomz energy bites

D: unsure. Ross is at the hockey game tonight, so i'll be solo

Off to my training session now! Have a great one all!

Afternoon everyone. Checking in late but non the less, i'm still here. Hope everyone had a fun filled weekend. Karen, you sound like a lucky lady that you have a good man like Andrew and he can COOK!!. Surprised you're still petite with all that good food, lol but, like CC said, maybe he can treat treat you elsewhere to show you love. A safari to Africa sounds good, to me anyways, lol. I think i finally have to admit defeat. My tummy is so grumpy and crampy that the trip to Guelph i've been avoiding is happening on Wednesday(wish me luck). No matter what i eat or drink causes pain so i've just been eating and drinking shakes whenever. Not gonna stress myself anymore over this.

L - mackerel, lima beans

S - jello, turkey sausage

D - chicken breast, salad

S- cappuccino 

That's the menu for today but, few bites here and there will do the trick, helps that i'm not even hungry. One day at a time. Have a good day all, Nia.
