What are you doing/eating today? (Monday)
on 3/8/15 7:33 pm - Bumfuknowhere, Canada
Been up for a few hours so figured out finally what I will eat today, other than lunch that is, since we will be out. Hoping just for salad with a shrimp skewer or chicken skewer. Ate way too many carbs this weekend while away so now to try and get rid of them again but until the carb monster heads back to work on Wednesday, it might be tough. His week away gives me a week of carb detox.
B - protein shake
S - the last cup of chili
L - unknown but hopefully salad with shrimp or chicken
S - protein shake
D - centre loin pork chop, roasted brussel sprouts, greek salad without the feta
My body is killing me from sledding this weekend. Had a fun time and enjoyed a hot sauna then a roll in the snow but my body is paying for it all today.
Morning all :)
Tracey, your weekend sounds great other than the roll in the snow. lol I hear you on the eating better alone. I was finding my eating a little "off" when Andrew is over for meals (especially if he is the one cooking) and had to put my foot down a little with dinner in particular. It's been a bit of a struggle for him to understand that no, I don't want a pasta-based meal again this week, no I don't want garlic bread with that, no I don't want a sandwich in my lunch, thank you for homemade pizza I love the toppings, etc.
Off to work this morning with another crazy busy week ahead - I will be so glad when all of my council committees are formed and the election I'm running for one of them is OVER for another few years. The weather this week is looking good, I'll be forcing myself to take a break and get out for a good walk at lunch time. Have a couple of errands to run after work, then home for dinner. Bates Motel starts the new season tonight followed by Saul, can't wait!

Good morning everyone. Tracey I hope you kick your carb monster to the curb. Karen it sounds like Andrew wants to show you love through food, tell him that jewellery and vacations are other acceptable forms of demonstrating his love, lol.
Had a wonderful night last night listening to live music, there were 4 female singers and their voices were incredible. All of their performances were like a master class in singing. One of the best shows I've seen in years.
Today it's swimming, and I will try to increase my activity in the pool today. Then, I am meeting a friend for coffee, more errands, maybe a nap, and a quiet nigh****ching TV by the fire.

As in, "I love you SO MUCH, here is an entire batch of Scottish shortbread just for you! xo" ?? LOL I will most definitely let him know about your alternative suggestions. ;)
You must be feeling so much better this past little while, CC. It's so great to see that you're back at the pool and going out and enjoying life again. xo

I am, thank you Karen. On Saturday I held on to the rail in the pool but basically did a light jog for at least 30 minutes and that was wonderful. Being able to drive again has given me back my freedom as well. I now know what a dog feels like when he waits all day for his master to come home, or gets to go for a ride in the car, I don't ever want to be stuck inside again. No getting this old horse back in the barn, now that she's had a run in the pasture, lol.

The carb monster would be my husband and I am not kicking him to the curb. LOL I just kick him back to work for 7 days after being home for 7. It's so much easier the week he isn't home to not eat carbs. He wants them with every meal and usually I can avoid them but sometimes I just WANT what he is having.
It takes time Karen, but Andrew will figure out your food needs soon. It took Ross a bit, and he loves to cook healthy, but even now he sometimes forgets. Also...boys are dumb. Ha ha to all the men reading this...are there any?

LOL...true story!!
I did say to my son when he was born, "I'm so sorry you have a penis."
So far he's pretty smart. He's only 9 though. :P

He has learned pretty well, actually. He no longer asks me, "Are you hungry for dinner/lunch/whatever?" mainly due to the blank stare he kept receiving and the, "Umm.. actually I'm not sure. But I should eat something." lol He's learned my quirky food ways and mostly adheres to them, but then again, I am an adult afterall. I can, and do, say no thank you when I've had enough, don't feel like it, etc. etc.
Also, I'm with Tracey. Boys are dumb and throwing rocks might not hurt occasionally. LOL
