Spicing up the Optifast
I've been reading a lot about people using fitness protein supplements instead of sticking just to the Optifast - but I'm questioning how this can be completely accepted when these powders can have a lot of sugar/sweetener (personally have fallen in love with a red velvet cake one by MuscleTech and know it's really on the sweet side). Has any of you done that when you were sick of it? Is there a little leeway to switch up the Opti (add spices, extracts, etc.)? I'd like to have a variety knowing that I will be bored of it very quickly, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

No comment on those switching out Optifast for something unapproved.
You can doctor up Optifast in SO many ways. Here's a link to the "Surviving Optifast" thread on my Ontario Recipes forum: http://www.obesityhelp.com/group/ontario_recipes/discussion/ 4267118/Surviving-Optifast/

Hi Karen , i was just wondering why when i try to view Surviving Opti thread it tells me that "Your account does not have permission to view this feature."
Hmmm... if you haven't joined the recipe group (click on join) then you wouldn't be able to read anything on the forum, so that is likely the problem.

Thanks for posting this again Karen. I am waiting for my Optifast to be delivered, hopefully early this week.

By "no comment" I meant "I have no comment", as a controlling rule-follower.

I'm not from this board, but saw this post via the main board. I use a red velvet cake sugar free syrup by Jordan's Skinny Syrup that is great added to a vanilla shake. Perhaps the OP could doctor up the Opti vanilla with it?
