Cleared for surgery! So how can I say goodbye to old me?
So I had great news today, I've been cleared for surgery by the hospital staff, pending the results of my sleep test and gastroscopy are good, which the medical team and my GP feel there should be no problems. I meet with the surgeon March 19, and I'm kind of overwhelmed. So I'm taking fun advice from my friend and having a personal going away party for old me.
What did you all do leading up to surgery? It feels like this huge weight (literally and figuratively) has been lifted and I can see the end now.
Let's hear your ideas! Thanks :)
I'm blogging about my journey, in the only way I know how to - with a lot of humour and a little potty mouth
I was so excited once I finally had a surgery date that I immediately started the liver shrinking diet in anticipation. Sad, eh? LOL

I had curry as my "last meal". I thought for some reason that I wouldn't be able to tolerate spicy food, it worried me so much. I seem to do okay though, lol. Best of luck!

I immediately stopped drinking my daily can of coke and started making myself aware of some of the foods that I would never consume again like chicken balls, which at 6 yrs post-op, I still haven't touched.
prior to surgery 323lbs....4 years post-op maintaining between 108- 114 lb loss.
