Back on track
finally back on track and losing weight again. Had my three month check up and it went well. The dietician upset me, I told them all from day one that due to my feet and ankles being messed up, doing vigorous exercise is going to be difficult for me. Now, when the weight loss as slowed, but still losing, they act like this is new information. It really pissed me off. My angel surgery was a year before my stomach surgery, therefore it was even written down. Anyway, everything else went well, blood work was great and Doc was happy. So glad I had you guys to guide me through. THANK YOU!
I'm glad to hear your appointments went well but I have to say, Tish, your post concerns me.
You're only 3 months post-op and you're already having to "get back on track"? How far off track can one possibly allow themselves to go so early out?
Vigorous exercise is not necessary to be successful at losing weight, the goal is to move more, more often.
It really all comes down to what you're putting in your mouth. Maybe you need some assistance with this, I'm happy to help.

What Karen said Tish. We are here to help. One of the most surprising things for me was how much I love water aerobics. I started at 1.5 months out, and found that it didn't aggravate the arthritis in my ankle and foot. The warm water actually felt good on my ankle. You can go at your own pace in the water and in a very short time you will gain strength. Good luck, we are here for you, please join the What are you eating/doing thread, you will see how newbies and vets alike maintain, get back on track, lose and laugh.
