Vitamins, Supplements, etc. Where to Buy?
I am planning ahead for the period after surgery when mobility may not be at it's best. I am looking for some 'local' information. Where are the best places to look for vitamins, supplements, etc.? Who has the best regular prices, and who has the best sales?
How do you find out about sales and regular prices? On-line? Flyers? Do you have to go and check the shelves?
Any shopping tips would be appreciated.
TIA,
Keith
I bought my stuff at Costco, the bariatric clinic at HRRH said they were fine and had the right levels of everything I needed and other stuff and I checked with the pharmacist at Costco and they told me they can be crushed for the period after surgery when we can't swallow them. I bought there Multivitamin, Calcium Plus, Vitamin D and Vitamin B12. I also bought Vitamin C but that is because I'm on iron they said Vitamin C help iron absorb better but that is just me I don't think everybody need it. Sorry probably TMI should have just stuck with I buy mine at Costco lol !!!

I regularly check the flyers for sales (Shopper's, Rexall, etc.), I use Costco (good prices all the time) and Patm turned me onto well.ca recently - they are always having sales on vitamins and provide free shipping over a certain amount spent.
No need for fancy-ass "bariatric" supplements at all. Get a list from your centre with your requirements and post it here or send me an email and I'll try to help with you with brands, ingredients to look for and the best places to purchase.
