I've never had it spoil.  It's just like egg bites, they even freeze well.  When we renovated our kitchen, I'd make a few of them and then cut up and freeze in pieces so we could just take a piece out at a time and nuke it.

She's allover the bed like a toddler though, real bad sleeper and i told her no more. She has to move back to her room which she refuses to do, sigh!! what am i to do? A girl gotta sleep and to top it of, the schools are closed and i'm stuck with her at home, lol.

So glad it is the weekend, holy cow! One pound away from 100 pounds lost since I was referred in Aug 2013, it is pretty exciting.

b - premier protein shake, xl coffee

s - almonds in a little sf walden syrup

l - barbacoa chicken with homemade marinara sauce and lf cheddar cheese

s - cheese string

d - cabbage beef stew from freezer

s - hot chocolate made with baking chocolate, splenda, coconut oil, skim milk, cinnamon, chili, vanilla, turned out quite well actually last time.  It was experimental because the recipe called for whipping cream which I do not use, so I subbed a half teaspoon of organic coconut oil instead and it worked like a charm.  Basically you just heat up everything but the milk in the microwave, mix it up really well, then add boiling hot milk to further melt the chocolate.  I can post the recipe if anyone is interested.

all vits and water

Good morning everyone.  Tanya, you need lots of really good chicken broth, the kind with fresh thyme in it.  Also, I prescribe a hot bath with Eucalyptus oil in it to open up those sinuses.  Failing all of that, get on a plane to the closest tropical island resort, let others wait on you and in 10-14 days I guarantee you will feel better.

Kelly that is wonderful news about your Aunt rallying.  Lots to be grateful for.

Yesterday I went to Guelph centre and to see my internist.  The centre is very happy with my progress.  The NUT says I am drinking too much coffee even if it is decaf, and that it doesn't count towards my water goals.  She also said that eating 100 grams or more of protein a day is too much and I should aim for 60-80 grams.  No Metamucil, although she couldn't find a reason why.  The internist thought that there was a possibility that the day of my fall I was dehydrated, making my blood pressure drop.  He didn't think it had anything to do with low iron, or low Vitamin A, or low blood sugar.

DH took me out after all of my appointments.  We had dinner out, salmon sashimi and Tom Kha soup - wonderful.  Then we finally went to see The Kingsman and we both enjoyed it (after being cooped up for so long, I might have enjoyed any movie)

Today we are having the furnace fixed, hopefully.  A friend may be coming by the house bringing coffee, sorry NUT it's freakin' cold in the house and a girl needs her coffee to stay warm.  NUT suggested I switch to hot lemon water, as if the 8 large cups of coffee would be harder on my stomach then 8 large cups of hot lemon water.  Tonight DH and I may or may not be going out for dinner and to listen to live music.  Depends on if the furnace is fixed.

B. LOTS of decaf coffee with cream and sweetener

S. Cheese omelette with a little salsa

L. Leftover salmon sashimi

S. More decaf coffee

D. If we go out, beef brisket with a little gravy (NUT is OK with gravy) and cheese grits (she's OK with those too)

S. Large cup of decaf tea or coffee while I listen to music.

Have a great day everyone, and please stay warm.

You seem to be doing well CC and looks like things are going good for you. Which NUT did you see? I work really close with Janine as i've had a lot of issues (she's a doll). Not with food but with pain after eating. I feel like a duck as i'm constantly being told to eat and up my calories, lol. Sometimes i feel the centre gives contradictory advise depending on whom you see. Dr Reed says one thing, Nut 1 says something different to NUT 2. Somewhere in the middle is where i end up. Did the NUT give you a calorie goal? I was told i was supposed to be 1000 calories at my yr appt, but at 16 months, i'm unable to do that.

I saw Salome who was filling in for Amelia. I've seen other NUTS.   I have gotten contradictory advice.   Dr. Reed says absolutely no sweetener yet they want you to have Source 50 Greek yogurt and other things that have sweetener.   Dr. Reed says no protein shakes or bars, he wants you to get protein from real food. For me, my stomach won't let me eat solids for a while when I wake up so I have a protein shake when I'm exercising.

Yeah i've seen Salome as well and she is the one who is pushing to the 1000 calories. Janine doesn't really mind that my calories are around 700 calories. Dr Reed told me to stay away from sweeteners as he feels they can cause dumping or something and he doesn't really mind that i don't eat what the NUT's recommends unless i keep losing too much weight.

I really like Dr. Reed, he knows his stuff, but I have no issues with certain sweeteners right now so I will continue to have them in yogurts, shakes and coffee. Glad you are feeling better, you had such a rough go of it in the beginning.   You will figure this diet thing out I'm sure you will find a way to reach your calorie goals.
