I got a date!!!

March 26th it is !!!   I called yesterday morning at Ottawa Civic Hospital, wondering if they had a surgery date for me.  They told me I was the next one on the pile and I said: "What does that mean for me?"  thinking they would call me back the next week or something.... but I was surprised when she told me she had a date for me....  So, I'm starting Optifast for 2 weeks on the 12th and having my surgery on the 26th of March...  I'm soooo happy !!!  It's gonna be a second surgery for me since I had a sleeve done in 2011.  I lost 110 lbs but gained back 50 .  I've had problems with vomiting daily for the last 2 1/2 yrs and my stomach twisted so they need to repair it.  This time, they are doing a gastric bypass Roux-en-Y.  I am hoping to lose the rest of the weight plus what i have gained back.  I have been losing some of the weight on my own, I lost 20 lbs in the last month 1/2 but still want to lose 75 lbs to be at my ideal weight of 150 lbs.

Now, I'm just praying that they don't push back my date and keep it there.

Can I ask... did you have the nutrition/pre-op class?  If so, what date?  And when was your last date with the surgeon?  I'm trying to figure out when I will get a call... I met with the surgeon early Feb to sign my consent forms for surgery.
