I had my orientation in Hamilton on October 20, 2014 and was wondering if anyone out there had a similar date and could give me a rough idea of how long I should be waiting for the next step.

I'm patient and not in a rush, however, I have heard of people slipping through the cracks and I do not want that to happen.

I wouldn't want you to slip through the cracks, so maybe you should give a call to the hospital that your referral was sent to!!! They will definitely be able to give you some information.

Hi Kathy!

I had my Orientation in Hamilton in March of 2014 - I didn't get an appointment for the first appointment ( dietician) till December 19, 2014 - and even then they said that people who had their orientation in March were only just getting their letter for first appointments - I know the frustration you feel with the waiting - I was initially referred (incorrectly I might add) back in February of 2013 - so two years and it is just now happening for me - an boy am I ready now!! - I also would tell you to call - is it St Joesephs that you are going thru?  I would call them and find out - even though it is difficult to get through to who you need to speak with.... good luck!!!

Hi Kathy,

I am going through St.Joes in Hamilton. My orientation was April 2014.  Had my first appointment Feb. 2015.  It is a long wait, but use this time to prepare yourself for the amazing change that will be happening. Hang in there, your time will be here before you know it!! Good luck

I am going through St. Joe's as well.  My orientation was Apr. 14, 2014.  I didn't hear from anyone for a long time so I called.  Just like another person *****sponded wrote, they were behind at least 6 months because of the move, so anyone who had their orientation Mar 2014 and on were delayed.

I got my letter Jan 16th and my first appt. was Feb 4, 2015.  That day was seriously crazy and confusing.  I posted about it here on this site.  I'm hoping all my future appointments will be smoother.

After that appt. I need to see the internist and psychologist, get an abdominal ultrasound, an ECG and a scope.

So far I have only been contacted about my abdominal ultrasound.  I had it Feb. 25th.  It was easy, no problems.

I have not been called about any other appts. so I'm going to call the clinic because I have a feeling I got lost in the shuffle.  It was really hectic when I went and there was only one receptionist because one was sick.  She was ripping her hair out. LOL
