Morning all :)

Tanya, sorry to hear about your cold - feel better soon. I've managed to avoid all the crap going around thus far but I'm sure now that I said it out loud (or at least typed it out loud), I'm next. lol My gut is way off this morning, something I ate yesterday isn't agreeing, can't pinpoint what it may be however. :/

Off to work this morning, have an appointment at 6, not sure what else - I'd like to finish work, go home, get into pajamas and go to bed! I'm so done with the freezing temps!

8.5 years post-op

- coffee with cream x 3 over the day -

B - Premier protein shake

S - plain Greek yogurt with homemade SF strawberries, sprinkle of toasted almonds

L - 1/2 grains wrap stuffed with chicken, red pepper, cucumber, feta, stuck together with tzatziki; handful of grapes

S - other 1/2 of the wrap

S2 (between work and appointment) - Chike protein iced coffee, Source Greek (apple pie flavour - not bad)

Have a good one,

K. :)

DH got in late last night so that means appointments and shopping today.  Will be out for most of the day so going to be hard to control all meals but will do my best.  I'm packing protein shakes for snacks and lunch I am at his mercy.  He often likes to hit up McD's on one of his days home for his fast food kick since the food at work is so bland but I will try and convince him to go elsewhere or else I may just have a coffee and another protein shake.  There is absolutely nothing on their menu that appeals to me unless I get a burger and pull the bun off but even then, there's not much.  Their salads are ready to be thrown in the compost heap.  At least I can control breakast and dinner.

B - bacon and brussel sprout frittata

S - protein shake

L - unknown at this point

S - protein shake

D - 4 oz centre loin pork chop, brocolli, green salad

S - protein shake

Hope you're feeling better Tanya.

I'm sticking with liquids today as I discovered something new last night. Last night I tried, for the first time, sugar-free chocolate candies. I had 3. About an hour later I had the worst gas pains I have ever experienced in my life, followed by (TMI) explosive diarrhea. This went on until 3:30 this morning. I looked it up and my reaction to whatever they put in it is quite common. NEVER again!!!! On a positive note ...  I feel quite light today.

Good morning everyone.  Tanya I'm sorry that you have a cold, maybe chicken soup is in your future.  Libra, those sugar alcohols can be pretty nasty, only some give me that reaction.

Today I go to my centre and see the NUT and nurse.  I had a telephone conversation with my SW and she may see me again for a few minutes today.  After DH is taking me out to a few places and then maybe that movie tonight that we have been waiting to see, fingers crossed.

Morning all,

Thanks for your messages about my Aunt. She is doing better. Hopefully she will get to go home this weekend. The meds are starting to get her racing heart rate down, but she still feels weak and can't keep much food down. It's hard to see, because she is full of life, full of medical information (very good at advocating for herself) and she could barely talk to the doctors up until yesterday.

I am starting my day hungry. This happens after a an active day (hot yoga and 9k of hills yesterday). And I didn't plan ahead. Booooo

I have to run out to the grocery store to stock up on eats for me. I have a shake to have here in a bit, had my egg and avacado already. Still looking for more. These days mess with my head, but it makes sense.

Probably protein salad for lunch, and dinner. I'll get a big one from downstairs (expensive, but all good foods to go into my salad). Spin class to shake out my legs.

Have a great one all!
