I'm still in the full liquid stage for another week but what I'd really like is a nice salad and I know that won't be happening for maybe another couple of months! The other cravings are quickly dismissed as not on plan so not worth thinking about. It will just be nice to have more variety and something to actually chew! 😀 Hang in there....this stage will be a distant memory before long!

You should be coming up on pureed soon.  I made a pot roast and put brussel sprouts in with it and whizzed it with some of the juices from the pan and it was delicious.

I don't so much have cravings but my tummy rumbles when I smell the dinner my family is eating and cooking. I was hoping to have more aversion to smells that would turn me off but so far things smell great! Does this happen with anyone else? I was hoping I would be one of the lucky ones where food wouldn't appeal to me but it still does unfortunately. I would never try what they eat and I am sticking to my liquids diet to the key put on the puréed tomorrow whoo whoo! I'm really craving sweet potatoes. I have lost 30pounds since opti and 2 weeks post surgery which I just can't believe at this point! It feels awesome!

It was explained to me this is what they call mouth hunger. It is the memory of what the smells mean to you. I was in a cafeteria and smelled all the food. I was not hungry and starting craving some of the things I could smell. I took some time to check in with myself and realised I was not really hungry and really didn't want the stuff I was smelling.

Hang in there. Soon you will be eating along with your family

I fully admit to drinking pickle juice while on the liquid phase in order to stave off my "OH MY GOD I'D KILL YOU FOR A PICKLE" cravings.  A few little sips didn't bother my tummy and helped a whole lot with the cravings.  :D
