What are you eating/doing today? (Tuesday)
Good morning,
Rough weekend. My aunt isn't doing well :-( Stressed out us and stressed out mom. Had my mom's birthday dinner on Saturday and it was lovely to celebrate with her.
I ran 23k Saturday morning at 6:30 am, cold and then it started to blizzard. Miserable, but I did it. My day just kept going from there with kid stuff, hospital stuff, birthday dinner stuff, I was exhausted by the end and suffered a sugar low. Not great. I go into protective mode when there is stress in the family. So i'm running around trying to make sure my mom, my other aunt, their kids are all ok, and it just hit me I guess.
Meeting my trainer for my second session at lunch, and off to the RR tonight for the clinic. Running keeps me sane through this, believe it or not!
B: hard boiled eggs
S: banana and almond butter
L: spaghetti squash and meat sauces
S: almonds
D: left over roast and sweet potato
Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!
Thanks! Not everyone agrees with my running can be therapy attitude :-)

I think anyone who has "something" (anything) that helps them to feel calm and de-stressed should understand how exercise, and in your case running, could be very therapeutic. Peace of body, peace of mind. Ohm. ;)

Good morning everyone. I vote we banish winter for the next 11 months. Our furnace is not working and the repair people are flooded with calls. Hopefully the space heaters will keep the pipes from freezing.
Kelly I am so sorry to hear about your Aunt, hoping that she rallies.
Karen you can throw out the shortbread but leave Andrew in the kilt.
Did not get a chance to see the Kingsman last night, but we are planning on going tonight if the furnace gets fixed. Today my activities will be trying to stay warm, physio homework, maybe the movies.
