What are you eating/doing today (Family Day Monday)
Happy Monday - I'm stuck working today. I can't complain as it is in lieu of my Pre-op appointment on Wednesday.
Day 5 of Opti - finally the hunger pangs are beginning to diminish. Obviously I will be dining solely on Opti and SF Jello.
I did, however, find a chicken broth that I can stomach - I lovingly refer to it as "essence of chicken water." It is the PC Organics Chicken Broth. It fits the bill with less than 10cal/serving and it actually tastes like chicken!!
Happy Family Day Folks :)
Happy Family Day to you too - enjoy your actually-tastes-like-chicken broth! ;)

Why not throw in a protein shake or some greek yogurt between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner. Your only snack seems to be in the evening. Neither is very filling but will at least give you some extra calories. If you aren't worried about the protein, then you could go for a regular fruit on the bottom yogurt to give you double the calories than a nsa greek yogurt one will give you as long as you are not too sugar sensitive. Protein shake would add in over 100 calories if you use some of the many low carb RTD ones and if you use a powder and mixed it with milk, it would be closer to 200 calories. Where do you want to add in calories? Do you want them as carbs or protein or a mix of both or just increase calories overall and not worried about the breakdown of those calories?
Thanks Tracy for the suggestions. I should clarify that i eat a snack between lunch and dinner and another before bed. I add protein powder to stuff like oatmeal, the banana and egg "pancakes" i make etc. I try to make each main meal 200 calories and snacks 100 cals each. The problem i have is that i can't eat a lot at one time like some of the bypasses at this stage, i am totally stuffed so i'm constantly adding my left over meal to the next tying to play catch up. So leftover lunch is added to snack. Leftover dinner is added to the next snack etc so, some days i finish my planned food some days not. When i drink liquid shakes i still feel hungry so i try to eat real food but, the real food is too filling. Plus i lost all my hair due to not getting enough nutrition.
The NUT suggested to eat more frequently, i can't do that. When i plan my meals the night before, i play with the numbers a lot. I'm good on the protein and the carbs i'm trying to bring up to 40g for now. I do add a spoon of PB sometimes, almonds and eat full fat cheese now.
