So proud of myself!!!

So I just got home from running errands out in the -20 weather, and the elevator was broken and wouldn't be fixed for a couple of hours. So I decided since I have lost 82 pounds that I could make it! Now I am talking about 5 flights of stairs, as I live on the 5th floor. Weighing 390 pounds, and being 5"2 is hard when just walking. I was determined! Well I did those 5 flights in just over 6 mins, with only taking 2 breaks to catch m breath. My body wasn't hurting as it usually does from walking, I wasn't gasping for air and was very alert. This is amazing, I still can't believe it, so proud of myself. I even feel I have energy, mind you, not enough to run, but more energy than I have ever had in a long time. My life is only going to get better from here.

That is fantastic! Stairs have become my friend since my WLS. These successes certainly make us see the surgery was worth it!

If you haven't had the surgery yet, have you lost all your weight yourself??? Good for you!!

I'm still in the appointment phase, so yes, I have lost all 82 pounds on my own. It has been extremely hard, but so freaking worth it, to be able to say that I did it on my own. I did start out with a trainer for about 3 weeks, that is all I could afford at that time, and it has taken me 11 months to lose it. Im at a hault right now, but Im content, I can do so much more than I could do 82 pounds ago.
