Opinions on what to tell the boss?
So I got my date. April 22nd. Now I'm trying to decide just what I want my boss to know. She can e kind of judgemental sometimes and there's a part of me that just doesn't want to deal with it with her. Yeah I know legally it's none of their business but it's not that simple. Ive worked for these people for twenty years. I know I'll have to deal with food a lot differently and time constrictions but honestly. She wouldn't even notice And I could always just say I'm on a new diet. Opinions??

I simply said 'Stomach surgery' They didn't ask details. Good luck!

I am in the same position. I don't think mine is judgmental but just didn't want to tell. However yesterday I confided and told. I don't think you have to, especially if there's a trust issue b/c of the type of ppl you work with. I truly just couldnt' stand lying about it......If you're not close to them or they aren't asking, maybe just keep it to yourself? I was really torn too.
Congrats on your date, it will be here before you know it. I go Feb 18- on day 9 of Opti!!!!!!!!!
Where I work I am one of the managers so felt comfortable tell my boss the supervisors that work for me. However I did not tell the team members that work with us as I too feel that some of them are judgemental. Sometime in the future I believe they might suspect but will tell them when I feel ready.
I told my boss everything. I answered her questions with was my choose. It really made going back to work easy. I told everyone and I realize that some may have whispered behind my back for me it was better. I have worked with most of these people for years and everyone was great. I had trouble eating one day and was given a little more break time and one day I was feeling dizzy and confused it was great when I was able to say " its from the damn surgery". Which for the record I LOVE my RNY. I just started a new job last Monday and let me tell you I have been a little scared every lunch. Thank god everything has been great. I am 4 months out now and have finally got my vitamins under control, dizzy and confused was from low iron and vitamin b12, long story short if you think it would benefit you to have she understand what you are going through then why not just tell her. Oh and the weigh comes off so fast that I have know idea what I would have said about that cause no diet works this fast. best wishes.
Take Care
