One year surgiversary

I know...you are probably sick of hearing about ppl that are celebrating their anniversary of their surgery but I am celebrating mine today.

I went for my appts at the clinic and with Dr. Agarwal.

Dr. Agarwal asked if I would mind being introduced to a woman who is starting the process and I said not at all.  I told her about the medications that I no longer have to take but I also told her it is a lot of work...its not an easy fix.  She was quite emotional.  I think we have all been in the same boat, trying other diets and such to gain it all back in the end.  I hope if she has joined this forum and truly wish you all the best.

Now on to the clinic. They are quite pleased with my success and told me that I could start maintenance if I want to.  I think I will try to get down another 5-10 lbs.  I am past my goal of 145 so I think if I got into the 130s it will give me some wiggle room for when I ramp up my workouts and build some muscle tone.
Thank You for your support over the last 2 years!!!

Congrats on your surgiversary and the accomplishment you have made over this past year.  I'm sure that woman was very grateful to talk to you.  As well as some people on this site that is just starting out and reading all the success stories.  I am not one yeR out yet not till may. But feel so much better.

Cheers Cathy

Congrats on your achievement and i for one don't tire of people celebrating their surgiversary. Keep up the good job and hope you reach your goal soon. We have the same surgeon and he told me i can start maintenance too but i still want another to lose another 10 lbs. I guess once you lose the weight, you want to keep going, lol.

Congratulations Alysan.  You have done an amazing job, and I am seriously impressed.  We have the same centre, same internist and the same surgeon, we both started at the same weight and had the same referral date.  The only difference is our surgery dates and I so want to be where you are now at my 1 year anniversary.  It was so kind of you to talk to that woman at Dr. Agarwal's office (I really like him).  Sharing your personal story with a stranger was very kind of you.  It can be emotional for both of you, and I hope that she was able to come to the right decision for her.
