Okay so I am down 30lbs in a month- woohoo, but I can tell in my skin 😔

I was wondering what skin care products, if any, you vets have found that help firm skin.

TIA

I'm just over a month post-op myself and have lost 46 lbs in total since starting Opti.  I've been using a regimen from Paula's Choice.  Some of her best facial care items are the AHA and BHA products that keep your skin fresh.  I also bought a body lotion that has AHA too.  I've lost a lot on my face but it seems to be holding up ok.  I'm very worried about turkey neck so I've been slathering my neck with as much moisturizer as possible and hoping for the best... so far so good.

Love love love PC products! I know we have discussed this before. If you got the PC AHA body lotion it is fabulous. In fact, I'm almost out and need some more.

Honestly, nothing will firm your skin,  you can spend all you want but firm skin is genetic, how big you were, how much elasticity you have. Once you grow skin, it doesn't shrink and go away once you loose the weight.

Good creams will only keep you well moisturized, but does nothing to firm you.

Dont let it freak you out, embrace the change your going through and decide as time goes on if your ok with yourself or if plastics is something your interested in looking into.

If you have stretch marks the skin is damaged and nothing but surgery will take it away. Some firming comes with exercise it all depends on the amount of skin, your age and genetics. My flabby skins is not great but I like it more than the flabby skin I had

Nothing you apply topically will help firm your skin. What a bummer. Maybe we should all pool our resources and see if we can invent something that will? We'd make a fortune!

I am a big believer in taking good care of your skin and that might help with the overall look and feel of your skin, but if won't actually firm it or treat/prevent loose skin. I used Bio Oil which I think helped with my scars, and I dry brush a lot and apply lotion every day. I take good care of my face and like msmuggins I'm a huge fan of Paula's Choice (you can't really treat loose skin but you CAN treat wrinkles!)

Thanks Everyone!  my sis had the surgery so I have seen what my genes has to offer lol!

Guess I just keep up my skin care routine until a miracle cream's developed 😉

oh one of my GFs suggested the ultrasound treatments for cellulite but I'm skeptical...anyone tried those?

I remember a vet telling us to save our money now for plastic surgery later. If I'm lucky and don't need it, I will have the $ for a kickass vacation!
