Morning All,

My body isn't wanting to sleep past 6.5 hours, so up early.

I have an appointment with a personal trainer today, but no idea of the cost and if I can afford it. But, knowing that I was going to book one, I made it part of my New Year's Resolution to cut back on Starbucks. I love their lattes and spend at least $25 a week on them!! There are six within walking distance of my office.

Since January 1st, I have purchased one coffee, not a latte ($3 cheaper). The challenge I've been doing doesn't allow for them anyway (unless I want a point taken away), and it started over three weeks ago. Anyhow I'm hoping I can afford a weekly session until my marathon in May.

im about to make Paleo cupcakes (meatloaf in muffin tins with sweet potato mash on top), and get pulled pork into the crock pot mmmmm

6k tempo tonight with the Running Room

b: eggs and avacado

s: banana and almond butter

l: Paleo muffins

s: nom nomz bite

d: pulled pork over kale mix

Have a great day all!

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!

you have stronger willpower than I do, I stop every morning for a skinny cinnamon dulce with a scoop of protein.  I should get back into the habit of making my shake before I leave home.

KUDOS to you on participating in a marathon, sounds like you are a dedicated athlete.

prior to surgery 323lbs....4 years post-op maintaining between 108- 114 lb loss.

life is AMAZING when you continue on the right path~!.  Use your surgeons gift to the fullest~!

You have my favourite latte. mmm. I actually am really not missing it right now. That could change, but for now i'm happy with my new love for coconut milk in my coffee with stevia.

I'm training for my third marathon. I am hoping to qualify for boston...a lot of work, but a dream I have :-)

Morning all :)

Off to work this morning, have a couple of errands to run after, home for dinner, not sure what else - I'm finding myself pretty wiped out a lot still at the end of the day. Ugh - just remembered I have to go to Costco, fun times.

Tanya, coconut shrimp sounds delish. Now I want that. Kelly, I'm finding your Paleo choices interesting and completely doable - but I just can't imagine giving up dairy :(

8.5 years post-op

- coffee with cream x several over the day - (I find I'm drinking more water at work simply because the work coffee is horrid and I'm a coffee snob)

B - Premier protein shake sipped alongside my morning coffee

S - plain Greek yogurt stirred with homemade SF cranberries, sprinkled with toasted almonds

L - baby spinach, 3 oz chicken breast, 1 oz (really good, not the crappy stuff) mozzarella, grape tomatoes, sprinkle of sunflower seeds, poppy seed dressing (I have quickly become addicted to this lunch!)

S - ham/cheese/pickle roll-ups (2), a few red grapes

D - chicken parm (no pasta/bun), leftover lemon-basil green beans & mushrooms

S - not sure yet, maybe a Bengal Spice fog but likely just tea

Have a terrific Tuesday,

K. :)

You're not just a coffee snob, you're a mozzarella snob, a Chike snob, a vanilla instead of chocolate Premier Protein snob, roflmao.  What can I say, you have high standards.

Sounds legit.

It's just for now, and I want to see if I am stronger on Paleo. I am certainly not as bloated as I was before, when having grains and dairy. Not sure if it's both or just one that is the culprit. In this challenge you get "indulgence tokens". I used one for a dessert, and got sick (creme brulee, sugar and dairy...and four bites). And the other was cheese and crackers, felt bloated, and paid for it during my run the next day.

I'm trying to keep the belly happy for training, and the challenge seems to be working for me so far. I miss Parmesan cheese the most, but just read that I can use nutritional yeast with a bit of salt for the same taste. Going to try that!!

LOL...I have no idea what it's going to taste like, but the crazy people on my challenge site love it. I'll keep you posted. It has protein in it...who knew?
