OTN With Dr. Urbach Today - Recieved Surgery Date!
Hello,
Had my OTN with Dr. Urbach today. Kind, knowledgeable Doctor from Toronto Western. He answered all my questions and any concerns I had didn't seem to be in a rush at all. He had all relevant file information of mine on the other end, so Sudbury Bariatric Clinic was doing their part despite some comments I have read they have not left me or lost my file.
Anyways, I have my Surgery scheduled for April 13th!! After all this waiting I am finally nearing the end. Please, please, please save one more seat on the Loser's Bench for me.
Congrats!!!

Yes! I didn't meet with him at the surgeon's appointment, but he did come and talk to me on the day of the operation. He's a really kind man and very reassuring. I totally understand how you feel -- I couldn't wrap my head around the actual surgery part of things either. I was terrified and ended up crying just before they gassed me. It's a very emotional and scary experience if you've not had surgery before but just remember that many people react this way. I'm nearly phobic of hospitals and even I survived the surgery and the hospital stay -- I'm sure you're going to completely rock it! I'm just over a month out and I feel great and have had no problems. He's an excellent surgeon, as are the other surgeons that assist him (I think you end up having at least three people working on you simultaneously). The anaesthetists are really great too. TWH is amazingly professional. You're in good hands. Good luck with you journey, Wesley!

Congrats! Getting that surgery date is such an exciting moment. I had URBACH as well. He did come visit me after surgery to check in.
