I left three cases of Premier Protein Shakes in my trunk… And well, they froze, and I thawed them out (in the fridge) Opened one, tasted it, it was off' Poured it out into a glass, and it looked HORRID. And completely undrinkable. Tried about four more from the other boxes, and yep, all the same.

Something about them freezing solid in my trunk appears to have spoiled them all. Sad. I can't even stomach them, the texture is repulsive, and they've all separated and taste gross.

So tip, do not leave your shakes in your trunk like silly me did!  I'm not ready to give up on them yet! Maybe I can find a few that are drinkable...

You don't need to throw them out as I am pretty sure they have not spoiled. I don't even put mine in the fridge because they separate but instead have them on ice when I drink them. The protein clumps when they are cold and what I have done is just use them in my magic bullet with ice so that I don't get that "slimy" texture.

They are just too expensive so when I have had that happen I try to use them other ways. Good luck ;)

But they even taste different! I tried blending one, it still had this slimy separated texture…  I will be trying again! Thank you

Did you buy at costco if so you can take them back. I took mine back to costco after it happened even the case I opened and they refunded all my money.

Good idea....I never thought of that. Costco has the most amazing return policy. Especially on food products.

I did get them there! This sounds like a way better option  I had no idea they would react so poorly to freezing temps. I always refrigerated them, and I would pour one in a glass, and pop it in the freezer so it became extremely cold, and never did it react this way! I guess I assumed they could handle being frozen in my trunk, nope.

Thank you!
