Anyone switched centres?

im thinking of switching centres from HRRH to TWH. 

im part way through the process. 

Has as anyone done this before?  

How do you go about doing so?

It says you can, but doesn't say how. I'm just curious if I call my family doctor or HRRH, or what.

You would have to contact HRRH, where your file is, and speak to them about requesting a transfer and the steps that need to be taken.

Exactly this. If your file is already at HRRH, they will need to transfer it. I transferred from Guelph to HRRH and Guelph handled the transfer (they were great about it, at the time Guelph had a very long waiting list)

I did!! I called HRRH and told them I wanted to switch to TWH because its closer for me, and she forwarded my file onto TWH.. it took about three weeks for TWH to receive it. I basically called them every other day to see if they got it. Good luck! 

I switched from TWH to HRRH right after my orientation. I had to start at the beginning at Humber, but it was worth it for me.

I actually just did this...  With a surgery date ready to go at HRRH.  (It was for the end of August, and I would have had to switch it to November, and then my surgeon's office said that could be delayed still - so then I didn't have a place to stay close to HRRH anymore... So crap!  I called another friend who lives close to Toronto, but further from HRRH than TWH, so I switched centres and I suppose I start from scratch again.  Lucky me.)

I simply called the centre at HRRH and requested a transfer. 

So maybe we'll be together in Orientation if you switch soon!
