What are you eating/doing today? (Friday)
Good morning everyone. Woke up at 3:00 and can't go back to sleep so I will definitely be having a nap this afternoon. Had a really good physiotherapy session yesterday. DH took me out for coffee afterwards. I'm still having difficulty controlling the late night snacking. It seems that I do great all day and then I will start snacking around 9:00pm and 1 snack turns in 3 or 4. I go to see my centre in 2 weeks and I will see what they say about this.
Today it's physio homework, a friend is coming to take me out for coffee, and tonight DH and I, and some friends are going out for dinner and to listen to some live music. This will be the first time in a month that I have been out and I am so excited. It is a bit of a pain to get me there with the walker, but DH will help and my girlfriend will help when it's time to use the restroom as none are handicap-friendly.

Morning all :)
CC, it sounds like you're progressing really well and I'm thrilled for you. Enjoy the hell out of your night out!
Busy day ahead at work then home to collapse (just kidding). I went to my local Target yesterday after work to check out their first day of "liquidation". As expected, it pretty much sucked due to the "up to 30% off", which really meant the majority of stuff was 10% off (not even enough to cover the tax lol). Clothing was 20% off (I found a cute striped blazer for spring) and cosmetics 30% off, so there's that. I believe they had more people in that store yesterday than they've had in total since September when it opened!
Pj night and I'm going forward with my "do-nada-weekend" - don't ask, call, request, message - I'm not available. LOL
8.5 years post-op
- coffee with cream x 3 over the day -
B - Premier protein shake
S - plain Greek yogurt stirred with homemade SF cranberries
L - baby spinach salad with 3 oz chicken breast, feta, a little red onion, a few grape tomatoes and cucumber slices, tzatziki for dressing
S - ham/cheese/pickle roll-ups (2), a few grapes
D - ummm.... I don't know yet. Some sort of protein and veg.
Have a fabulous Friday!
K. :)
Edited to add: Oops, forgot to mention your night snacking, which is a tough thing for many people, myself included at times. Maybe look for the reason for the snacking - hunger vs. boredom, etc. I make the kitchen sort of off-limits after a certain time and try to keep myself distracted with other things. If all else fails, I go to bed (either to sleep or watch TV from there - I don't allow any food upstairs).
Edited again: I had a laugh at myself yesterday when I realized that I had started this thread on Wednesday but had titled it What are you eating, doing today (MONDAY) - tired and stressed much lol

I make them. 1 small bag of fresh (or frozen) cranberries (the bag I use is 2 cups I think), 1 cup water, 1 cup (I use way less) sugar or sugar substitute (I used granular Splenda this time, about two thirds of a cup). Boil the water and Splenda, add the cranberries, simmer for a few minutes stirring occasionally until the cranberries start to pop, mix it up, turn it off, and let it cool. Done. :)

S Tea
L ?? no idea, but probably chicken and salad
D left over lunch
S 4 oz skim milk
Be well everyone
Tanya
Goodwill has a 50% off sale, how could I not know this. I needs pants, the ones I have now are falling off me and that poses both embarrassment and a tripping hazard.

CC, glad things are progressing for you.
Winter blahs and work and home are getting to me. I asked my DH what he wanted for dinner. He said nothing sound great. I asked if he wanted to go out to eat. He immediately said yes. Usually he is not so eager. He wants Thai which is a lot of sauces not great but once in a while okay. I do not have the rice.
Swimming today. I am hoping some exercise will make me feel better. If not at least tired.
b greek yogurt, granola,
s banana and PB
l chili, kraft sf pudding
d Mango chicken not sure what else but know DH likes this
wine
Keep warm out there
Pat you've been feeling the winter blahs for a while now, maybe you should talk DH into taking you somewhere warm. I could probably be talked into coming along to be your valet. Mango chicken sounds yummy.
